As a Marine HVAC Field Service Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the optimal functioning of climate control systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms. This dynamic position requires a highly skilled and adaptable individual who can independently handle complex installations, maintenance, and repairs of air-conditioning and cooling systems in diverse and often challenging environments. You'll be the go-to expert for diagnosing and resolving malfunctions, performing intricate technical analyses, and providing essential service support for both new and existing installations. This role involves significant domestic and international travel, requiring you to be available 24/7 to address urgent customer needs, often aboard cruise ships and in various ports around the world.

Responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, your key duties include:

  • Performing on-site service, commissioning, maintenance, and equipment upgrades
  • Conducting technical analysis based on customer-specific requirements
  • Communicating technical findings and recommendations clearly and effectively
  • Providing high-quality customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Advising on enhancements, repairs, and system upgrades
  • Developing product expertise and supporting field operations with insight and analysis

Must have:

  • A technical university degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience (or 3 years with a master’s degree)
  • Strong command of English (spoken and written), Dutch is not required but considered a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, particularly water-cooled chillers
  • Willingness to travel for field assignments (~60% of the time)

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Technical or vocational diploma with strong hands-on experience
  • Experience in diagnostics, commissioning, and system upgrades
  • Familiarity with integrated product controls and client site interactions
